COMENTARIO DEL AUTOR:

El ZAIDÍN, que se completa con Los VERGELES, es, desde hace años, mi tercer barrio. O sea: mi segundo barrio, de adopción. Nací en el Barrio de Fígares, que sigue siendo mi primer barrio, pues en el mismo pasé los 22 primeros años de mi vida. En el año 2000, llevo viviendo, casi 23 años, en la Colonia de San Sebastián, mi primer barrio de adopción, y mi segundo barrio real.
Pero el ZAIDÍN-VERGELES, por su proximidad con la Colonia de San Sebastián, se ha convertido en mi tercer barrio real: allí voy a efectuar las pequeñas compras; allí hablo con la gente sencilla que lo puebla: en los bares, en la frutería, en el estanco, en las imprentas, en las librerías, etc... Gente afectuosa, sencilla, que no tiene aires de grandeza, a pesar de que dicho barrio es uno de los más poblados de Granada (España): 80.000 habitantes.
Es como el "Vallecas" de Granada: un barrio lleno de vida, de humanidad y de comprensión, al que le he cogido un gran afecto.
Por eso, le dedico esta obra.

COMMENTARY OF THE AUTHOR:

The ZAIDÍN, that is completed with the ORCHARDS, has been, for years, my third district. That is: my second district, of adoption. I was born in the District of Fígares, that continues being my prioritizes district, because in the same one I spent the 22 first years of my life. In year 2,000, I take living, almost 23 years, in the Colony of San Sebastián, my first district of adoption, and my second real district.
But the ZAIDÍN-ORCHARD, by their proximity with the Colony of San Sebastián, has become my third real district: there I am going to carry out the small purchases; there I speak with the simple people who populate it: in the bars, in the fruit-store, in the monopoly, in the presses, in the bookstores, etc... Affectionate, simple people, who do not have greatness airs, although this district is one of the most populated with Granada (Spain): 80,000 inhabitants. It is like the "Vallecas" of Granada: a full district of life, humanity and understanding, to which I have taken a great affection to him.
For thats reasons, I dedicate this work to him.
