HP used to be the premier Pocket PC maker, but has struggled a bit the last few years. The HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger may help get HP back on track, even with the delay of about 8 months getting the device out the door.

  • service provider?

  • No service provider carries this device. It is a SIM unlocked device available to work worldwide on GSM networks with quad-band GSM and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA. You can use it in the U.S. with AT&T or T-Mobile. I have tried both successfully.

  • This video is excellent. I just received the 910 from Amazon yesterday, and it's great to have a commentary/walkthrough for such a phone!

Question: the left-handed softkey is designated for the Internet Explorer. Does anyone know if there is a way to assign the softkey to a different function/program?

  • I contacted HP and was told there is no way to change these soft keys through a utility. I suggest you do a Google search for Pocket Tweaks as this is a registry editor that may have this functionality built into it.

  • does it work for t-mobile

  • Works like a champ with T-Mobile too. I popped in my SIM and it went right to the HP iPAQ manager that put in my settings automatically.

This is truly a world phone with quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA/UMTS so you get it all in a single device.

  • I have this one! It's ok, but battery life is.. 2.5-3 days.. And screen... is small:( but everything is ok, full qwerty keyboard is usefull.. But camera is one big shit..(but it's PDA, not digital camera).

  • i wish it didnt cost 500 bucks though :(

  • Version is also CDMS, T-mobile and At&T are GSM

  • Verizon Wireless is not a GSM network.

  • Of course you can! AT&T is a gsm network and it takes a little card that you need to slip in the phone and this phone is a GSM phone type so yes it works! If you get it have fun with it!

  • Thanks, I Always Get Confused With Two Two.

  • Verizon is also CDMA. T-mobile is the other GSM carrier.

  • Sorry but No, Sprint ses a technology called CDMA, The Ipaq 910 Take A GSM Sim Card, As offered by AT&T or Verizon Wireless.

  • how can I know the networks that support this device? I would like to use Sprint with this. would it be possible?

  • Can I use this w/ AT&T?
