In this video we test three different CPU platforms for smartphones: the Qualcomm Snapdragon (on the Nexus One), the Samsung Humminbird (on the AT&T Captivate), and the TI OMAP (on the Motorola Droid X). We test each device in a variety of tests, including boot up time, internet speed, Google Earth, and YouTube video streaming. We're trying to determine, in practice, which CPU platform is fastest.

  • That samsung looks quite smart :)

  • Sap sucks

  • GINGERBREAD

  • Omap sucks . Still prefer snapdragon

  • Piano fingers I see... lol

  • Lol they all got sweet boot screens

  • @m200mw And also Android allows you to close the apps by flicking them away, a gesture that has been incorporated through the entire operating system. Also WP7 doesn't even have a good notification system, whereas Android has the original notifications tray, which was so good that even symbian and iOS have incorporated it.

  • @m200mw ...and looks? No. Android 4.0 combines the simplicity of windows phone and the gestures into an actually GRAPHICAL user interface, instead of just squares on the screen. Also, the multitasking on WP7 is NOT true multitasking, because the apps don't actually run in the background. And you can only have 4 apps open? HAHAHAHA are you kidding me? On android you can have as many as you like, easily accessed by one tap on the screen, instead of holding down the back button. (continued again)

  • @m200mw No, it's definitely the UI, after all the UI is PART of the OS. And no, it won't be the most popular based on whichever made-up surveys have been done, because it has such a little market share now that it's pretty much impossible for it to become the market leader, after all it's got two popular competitors that take up almost equal market share. Android has much more functionality than windows phone so don't even try to say windows phone has better functionality (continued)

  • @jjoeshaw the metro ui dosent make my phone fast, its the os it runs on, the wp7 interface is flashy, and sexy, it makes my phone fun to use, and good to look at, and it will be the most popular based on surveys that have been done, android is decent, but when it comes to speed, functionality, looks, and stability wp7 is much better. the multitasking is defiantly real, it is fast and easy to use, you can skip between 4 things you want to do at the same time.
