Now in its second year, IT-E3 (Information Technology -
Engineering and Environmental Education Tools) is a program implemented at the University of California, San Diego by the Jacobs School of Engineering. It aims to help bring information technology into middle school classrooms, specifically by enabling teachers and their students
to gather environmental data. The goal is to get students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers. The program does this by providing new and innovative technology tools to classrooms, and educating middle school teachers on how to use those
tools to help foster their student interest. For more information, go
