It would depend heavily on your purpose. I'd say the T-Rex is better for rythm/strumming, where the MXR is better for individual picking.

Rothwell ... (ask B.Gibbons !!!), the Rothwell is even slightly better than the Keeley (a bit more transparent).
The Keeley C4, on the other hand can be used with absolutely ANYTHING you could want to record, this is also an excellent all purpose studio compressor.
The Rothwell is more for the guitar only.

A "boutique" pedal made in Taiwan!

... ~shrug~ :)
This one has more control, and I'm assuming from the price tags, that this one would be quieter and more transparent. I, for one, am looking to go more the Dyna-Comp route b/c they seem to have their own distinct compression sound which I think is kinda cool in its own way... tho I would probably have it modded to be a bit cleaner-sounding.
Best of luck!

Hi Brett, which of the C-N or Squeezer is better in your view? Thanks and great demos by the way.

@Mrbluesy1 They're both above average IMO, but the Comp-Nova would be my first choice for guitar because it's easy to use, has a degree of extra volume on tap if you need and doesn't muck with your tone. The Squeezer is more for the tweaker and is really aimed at bass players although it does a stellar job with guitar as well.

Hi Brett, thanks for an informative demo (as always). I'm looking at compressors at the moment as I love that country pickin', so what's your view of the T Rex compared to the Farndurk Burgs? Both sound great to me! Any difference in playing "feel" as you mention in the clip? Thanks!

Hi Jack, thanks for watching. The Burgs is a different circuit and does a have a different feel. The C-N is actually more open and dynamic, something that may be preferred by many. I like both (but I would say that!) so I'll be experimenting over the coming weeks to see which gets the precious board real estate. :)
