  • its fucking ridiculous that you hear on the news that people were killed because they were trampled by over-anxious shoppers to get the best deals.

What the fuck has our World gone to?

  • Christmas needs to be a day where we put down the guns and hate, and care about each other with compassion, not material crap. I'm sure there are many people out there that would rather have a family than some material possesion.

  • About 80% of things you buy, you didn't even want. Why on earth do you think they have sales at all? And especially the small wares or sales near the counter.

Understand the system and handle it with care.

  • Black Friday is always assumed to be the "biggest shopping day" of the year but December 24th and the weekend before are both statistically proven to be busier. Black Friday is all about marketing! Anything to get people to spend money. The sales aren't even that great. If they were too good, then it wouldn't be "Black" Friday (financially keeping businesses in the 'black' as opposed to red at the end of the year)

The term feeding frenzy comes to mind. Civility and common sense are ignored.

  • @CCCOBI People are as they always were, pack animals, and as pack animals we tend to follow the herd. And the IQ of the herd is dumbest guys IQ divided by number of people. And thats why people will start to act like mindless sheep.

It becomes a problem when corporations use this to their advantage, just create the false illusion of a discount, lures the dumbest people in, and once a herd builds the whole thing spreads like wildfire.

The way of capitalism... ftw :P

  • @CaptCamping Cyber Mondays I heard is the Monday after Black Friday the time when online sales happen! silly I know :)
