  • @hedonism13 Religous people aren't open minded, that's not what is meant, open minded people are people who are willing to question and debate the reality of any and all unproven beliefs without prejudice.

  • The first thing i think when i open this link was: 'Is he Beetlejuice Smith?'

  • Linked here by rational wiki and I've never heard of Tim Minchin. I must know more.

  • @hedonism13 Definitions are important! You sound like somebody who knows his philosophy of language. More power to you. Still, doesn't the position of a Theological Noncognotivist (TN) exclude being a theist somewhat? How can you believe in a concept that you find linguistically nonsensical? Ofcourse, "believe" is mostly an emotional cognition, so it could still be possible. But I don't think you would be that stupid. So you are probably still atheistic, parallel to being a Igtheistic TN.

  • @ShadowBB

Strictly speaking, I'm a Igtheistic Theological Noncognotivist. But I don't lke saying that, because it's such a pretentious sounding position. I basically don't see arguing about god as important until somebody can put forward a non-fallacious definition of god that still makes god distinct from some naturally occurring catalyst (for instance, defining god as the creator of the universe).

Then, I guess, I believe in a catalyst, sort of as a scientific placeholder.

  • @hedonism13 "Any" god would suit the definition of atheist. An atheist simply doesn't believe in "any" god. So if you state that you are "not even atheist anymore" you actually state that you now believe in a god. If you do not believe in a god (and many people who are simply not sure; don't believe) than you are an atheist. Sounds like you, right? You say the thought of an unclear definition of the concept "god" changed your mind. But that doesn't change the fact that you are an atheist.

  • @ShadowBB

I dunno... I've just vastly immersed myself in the issue, and it's a bit more complex an issue than it appears on the surface. Religion is bullshit, and I don't believe in an afterlife, but... well, to say whether or not there's a god, you need to tell me what you mean by god. I suppose that thought changed my mind.

  • I like how there's a ton of arguments here on the page, yet ALMOST EVERYONE thumbed the video up.

  • y ese es el tipo de música que le gusta cabron, ESO SI DA ASCO! como tu ppinche cara que has de tener

  • @hedonism13 What changed your mind?

  • Shit niggahz, I made that comment 7 months ago. I don't even really care about the issue anymore and have since developed an amount of respect for certain religious endeavours. Furthermore I'm not even atheist anymore.
