"Henry Flynt in New York." Composer/philosopher/activist Henry Flynt reflects on his years in the downtown avant-garde and the sectarian Left. In this scene, Flynt recalls visiting Tony Conrad at this apartment in the mid-1960s, where he also met filmmaker Jack Smith and recruited the pair for his anti-art protests of 1963. Flynt also discusses his interest in rock during this period, and his guitar lessons with Lou Reed in 1965.

Lots of Cats in the Bkyrd, We use to have Open Fists Boxing matches back in those days in the bkyrd. That bldg 56 has be renovated, Maybe about the last 20yrs, I remember a lot of sad things happened their, The Friends of mine that lived their are all deceased. Strange never heard of you guys on 56 Ludlow St, I'm the original "Guss Pickle Poster boy, Of 1960, My mom still lives on Ludlow St. Back then, We use to sing on the corner of Ludlow and Hester St, "Imperial Dragons" Turf, Their were Gangs every few blocks around, I myself was a Org Allen St, Boy, and Junior Duke.
