  • @LearnClassicalGuitar Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions:) I was always aware about the lute in that period, but I was asking about the guitar (at least, the baroque guitar if we want to get specific). I always had the thought of pirates with big feather hats playing the guitar or something similar.

  • @CubeableGame Thanks! It's classical guitar music. I'm not sure about it being played in the colonies. The classical guitar had its peak a little later. Many of the great classical guitar players were around the Mozart/Beethoven era whereas the period you've named as the "Golden Age of Piracy"was around the time of Bach. In this era the lute was all the rage, rather than the classical guitar which was still being developed.
