I agree that Hitler rarely signed documents. The T-4 decree was written on his personal stationary. My understanding is that even less was signed by him after the program was officially ended but the program still continued for awhile. All I am saying is that the public feedback for the T-4 program only resulted in less accountability (Hitler) than before and for good reason.

You would have interviewed Hitler? knowing his was an Irving partisan. Just kidding

So Irving is "politically correct" now? Propbably tired from all thse arrests, an eccentric englishman, haha.

@alanheath fair point, Alan.
One of Hitler's final acts was to make sure a lot of his papers were destroyed, however.
Hitler never even visited any of his camps, so your theory sounds likely.
-
Rubbish. He said that would be "the consequence", not the plan.
Also, are you saying then that "Jewry inside and outside of Europe [succeeded] once more in plunging nations into another world war"?

@NickVenture1 I see this in two ways. At the time of the Poznań speech, the Bug camps were being closed down. So Himmler could claim success there. At the same time the Soviets were advancing, they had just recaptured Kiev, Italy was out and the writing was on the wall. So therefore he needs to blame everyone else too.
Yes, I agree with you, he does not like playing soldiers any more.

@NickVenture1 Himmler had two brothers, he was the middle child. The eldest survived until the 1970s and described Heinrich as a coward. This comes out at various moments, not the least in his intial refusal to do a deal with the west (if possible) and then attempts to do a deal as the least brave of all the options.
I think the laughter may have been some off camera tittering but I don't know.

@alanheath Still 1 thing: D.I.explains that Himmler does NOT mention Hitler as higher instance in the Posen Speech. But in fact Himmler mentions the "hard job" they had to do in 1934 against "comrades" whom they had to shoot. (put against the wall). And that since they had not talked about that hard mission.. This IS in fact Himmlers way to explain that AGAIN the SS has to do the hard+nasty job. And this is AGAIN of cause Hitler who is the highest instance without H.H. would never act.(same1934)
Hi Alan. Do you know David personally? How did you get an interview with him?
Love your history videos, by far my favourite Youtuber.

A lot of Hitler's papers were burned on his orders, one of his final acts. If any document ever existed authorizing the mass murder of an entire race or religion, you can bet that it was kept under lock and key and was pretty near the top of his most important papers.....as such, it would certainly have been destroyed on his orders. Who the hell would want to leave proof of such an evil act lying around? Not even a madman like Hitler!

@rabsmiff I doubt that he gave the order in writing as most things were not. It seems to me that he only gave written orders to people he did not trust such as generals. Amongst his inner circle it was all spoken only.
