This is better footage of 2 of the 3 available clips. There is a 3rd clip in other videos. (Annotated, Eyewitness, Raw) This is a cut from security camera footage showing the car driven by former Ontario Attorney General Michael Bryant ramming cyclist Darcy Allan Sheppard, immediately prior to Sheppard's death from being dragged down the street, colliding with obstacles and being run over.
This footage appears to be the initial "minor accident" reported in the media. I estimate that Sheppard was pushed along the ground for over a car length.
This footage is from a single report on City News; however it was not presented in such a concise and condemning manner. I am concerned that this footage has been available from very early on, but has been obfuscated thru editing decisions. This has contributed to confusion and possibly unwarranted slander towards Mr. Sheppard, and unfairly protects Bryant from being depicted in a negative manner.
*** This footage is unaltered except: re-sizing / cropping to fit, brightness contrast adjustment for clarity, cuts between camera angles, and unavoidable artifacts from the video compression algorithms used on the source footages and youtube publishing.

@FantinoMussolini I hope you are wrong, too :( If he gets off, I'll have even less respect for the judicatory system. I don't care how "well respected" he is in certain circles, the fact remains he has no respect for life.
He behaved like a menace on the road. Imagine, dragging some guy along a sidewalk and literally ramming him into obstacles. Then running over him with his car, and driving away and hiding around the corner. That's not even human. If you see the footage of him in the police car, he's not sad. His emotions seem to range from annoyed and irritated to happy as he grins. Creepy.
@phillydisco Seriously, very disturbing. The longer the court keeps putting his day in court weeks and weeks later, the bigger the likelihood he'll snap again, IMO.
Shameful such uncalled for aggression and cruelty. Bryant is a monster that i fear will not be punished. Is there any record of an ordinary person in toronto involved in a similar crime not tested for some type of substance abuse.
January 22nd has come and gone and no news about this case. I hope he's not going to walk just because people forget the horrific nature of this incident.
Here is some background information that hasn't been brought up as far as I know. This may or may not be relevant but may explain some of the sphincter tightening by media and politicians. This from a reliable source. "Michael Bryant was seen at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the afternoon of the incident and was in the company of many prominent politicians including Dalton McGuinty. If this is true they could all be called as witnesses about the event leading up to the tragedy"
If Establishment Tapeworm Bryant gets off, I'm going to start riding my bike, all the time now, down the middle of the main drag. It's a cyclist's right, isn't it? Cyclists should take to the streets, en masse.

You watch, he will get off, I hope I'm wrong!
He may not have drank during dinner, but what did he do earlier in the day?
Surprised no one else has pondered what he did in his day prior to that.
Thank you for that.
