  • Is that guitar tuned down one half step, or is the sound on this video a little flat, or is my guitar (and my guitar tuner) way sharp? I can see that's D and G and C, but my guitar will only match that sound if I put a cap on the -1st fret!

  • @frostyjhammer

I have no clue? Maybe somebody else can help you with that.

  • Miss this kind of Texas music in Utah.... Great Song.

  • @geoatv

Yea I`ve never even been to Texas , but I love what everybody calls Texas music...Chris Knight, Reckless Kelly, Randy Rogers, Scott Miller, Guy Clark. I wish Chris would come through the Carolinas more.

I love this song to... It`s one of my favorite.

  • amazing song

  • @halkivette

LOL. Im only 28 but I think im the last of the true Rual Route..We really went steepin out and got the honyk tonk blues lol. Serious

  • @cashfan85 HES A NORTH DAKOTA BOY!!!!!!!! SO AM I GOOD PEOPLES. AND WE DONT SOUND LIKE THE MOVIE FARGO AND FOR THOSE IN CALI WE GOT HIGHWAYS BITCHES LOL.

  • @cashfan85 Hell, I didn't know. I Heard him for the first time in Texas. One of my favorite songs. Don't hear songs like this on the radio in Utah. Thank you for putting it on here.

  • @geoatv - it may sound like Texas music and Chris goes there a lot...but this is Kentucky music.

Yall have tons and tons of great music to lay claim to...let us have this one. But yeah it sounds similar to other Texas arists I guess, but Chris is Kentucky through and through.

  • @frostyjhammer --- I have been watching alot of his videos and noticed that I have to Capo 1 to harmonize with what seems like he is playing standard... have not tried to tune half step down for any of his songs, but I bet you are probably right... i.e. The song North Dakota shows him playing capo 6 Em, G, D, Am.... my guitar in standard tuning on capo six sounds nothing like his, capo 5 sounds close and capo 1... at this point I an lossed.... try 1/2 step down tuning and let me know how it is

  • @cashfan85 You ought to come visit! Texas is a wonderful place.

  • It doesn't make sense that you can capo up one and have the same pitch. He is a half step down though. He plays a lot a half step down because of his voice.
