By the way, the drama series Maigret was made I think by Granada Television.

Always loved that Nationwide ad (and the "Don in Doncaster, Peter in Petersfield" variation), though I don't think you could have anything like it today. It must also be one of the last ads to have full stops after the slogan and name of the company.

I remember the advert you have mentioned for a well known building society and who was the man in the Vauxhall Astra advert? Maigret was an ITV drama series set in France.
