@gamergecko once you see a box turtle its not hard to chase em down and pick em up, and they wont try to hurt ya if you do, they will get scared, yes but that means either they try to boogie nd get away or tuck in their shell, usually they go in the shell XD
their cute little turtles, normally pretty docile and friendly, i have an Eastern Box Turtle i saved from a construction site, he used to be scared of me but now he is all friendly when i go near him, he's gotten used to me over 14 years

dude i understand what you are doing but they can reproduce in captivity also the only way they could get salmonela is if you feed them things such as raw chicken because of the bacteria in their blood

Its illegal to hunt and kill box turtles. These turtles are rapidly declining through pet stores catching them from the wild and people doing it themselves plus hunting wont help it either.
