    I'd take her/him in just because I'd feel sorry for it that nobody else would take it in. It was probably abused in the past and got put in this cage which doesn't give it any opportunity for it to show love and affection, thus it turns into a mean angry cat, but can you blame it? If someone took it in their home and treated it nicely, maybe not straight away, but eventually it will become more meek and trusting when it settles in, a nicer more friendly and happier cat.
