It's very easy to spank your children, it's much harder to maintain your cool. Hitting them teaches them that you solve your problems with others by hitting them.

The two videos by this man are very disturbing to me. His teachings are illigitimate because they are based on fear and control, rather than on love and reienforcement; he rejects positive parenting. He believes in controlling children out of fear and advocates a right to inflict pain on other people. He should like to know that this doesn't conform to the Biblical definition of true obedience...

God, being a father-figure, is a contradiction of being a perfect being. A father-figure dictates and presents rules and restrictions. If he were truely omnipotent and all-loving then no rules would exist and the god would be content knowing his creation is doing what makes them happy. Regardless of whether it harms another, that is our right of freedom.

FYI, religion is all bullshit. The above example is just a speculation of the ridiculous christian idea of god.

Those who advocate spanking are usually sure to emphasize that the parent must have their own temper under control. Corrective disciplinary forms of spanking are not done in anger, while hitting is. If a parent spanks in anger, it's just an adult tantrum. If they spank because they feel it is a legitimate form of correction, it is done in a controlled environment. I don't like to see corrective spanking generalized with temper hitting. I don't advocate it, but I understand it.

Thank you for your comment. Additionally, he mentions self control. I assert that if someone feels the need to control a child with fear and pain, then it is the caregiver that is out of control, not the child. hitting (spanking, slapping, srtiking) is an abuse of power, except self defense or defense of another.
