Each May in the little town of Pella, IA the residents gather together to celebrate the town's Dutch heritage at a celebration called Tulip Time. Everything at this festival is Dutch, from the food to the costumes to every float in the parade. So what happens when a handful of college students seek to give the celebration of Cinco de Mayo a place in this Dutchmania? Watch and see this cross-cultural experience.

  • You should come to the real tulip time in Holland mi. They have a real cinco de mayo celebration here too.

  • Hehe i live in Pella :P

  • Weird video, but interesting I guess. I was just in Pella today for the Tulip Time and it's one of the most enjoyable all-day trips I've ever taken. It's refreshing to meet a wholesome, sincere community that is really dedicated to their Dutch and Christian roots and is really glad to share them. Hats off to Pella!

  • YAY for Tulip Time completely sucking!!!

  • HAHAHAHA!!! Pella is the rockin-est place in the Western Hemisphere, if not the entire planet!!! They're nice to me whenever I visit, even though I ain't Dutch, which means that I ain't much, they were nice enough to tell me. Pella RAWKS!!!

  • Sacrilege! Pella is one is of the few places left today where the vision of such forward thinkers as Walt Disney and Adolf Hitler come together in perfect harmony. What you've done is a disgrace to all that the Tulip Toren stands for! I will pray for your souls and emplor you to do the same. Christ will forgive you. Our prayer group meets every ten minutes at the Eleventyninth Twice Reformed church, just past the Country Kitchen, to the right of the windmill.
