I don't know who was the first to put coffee in cans, but i was under the impression that Georgia coffee was as Japanese as it got. A quick look at Wikipedia shows its made by Coca Cola, but it's only for a few select markets in Asia. It is not sold in Georgia.

especially a japanese television commercial -- watch a few on youtube, get a feel for their status as actual pieces of pop-art.

say what you will about japanese pop-culture (i say a lot, myself): their television commercials are world-class. note how short and snappy they are. many of them contain the structure and aesthetic flow of vintage print advertisements.

what greater challenge for a great film director than to make one of these?
