Here is my video review of the Citizen Eco-Drive Calbre 8700 Series BL8004-53E 2 tone watch. I modified it with a brown leather strap, but it is available with a 2 tone polished stainless steel bracelet as well as many variations.

  • watches should be worn on left hand wrist

  • I have a Citizen Eco-Drive watch and in the dark when there's not enough light to charge the solar cell (example: when you're sleeping), the second hand stops completely to save power while it internally keeps track of time. It becomes absolutely silent. When you turn on the lights again, the second hand will resume operation. I believe most Eco-Drive watches do this.

    Customer Reviews:

Having owned several Citizen Aqualand watches including the Titanium BJ2060-58E and JP1040-09E, among a few others, I expected this Promaster Carbon BJ2105-51E to be finely sculpted as well. While it does embody the typical shape\lines of the Citizen Aqualand series it has more of an angular cut than a curve on its stainless steel ...

  • @Chuyto1998 its weird, im right handed. but set and operate my watches using my left. to each his or her own i guess Eh? there is no wrong hand or side to wear it on

  • @alexlex85

    Not if you're left handed.

  • I HAVE THIS WATCH SINCE 2 YEARS AND ENJOYIN THE WATCH.ITS VERY ACCURATE AND VERY EXCELLENT. BRILLIANT WATCH AND PRICE WORTHY.

  • where did you get the replacement leather band?

  • @knakker2 Has a warranty. You may have a lemon or a fake. Return for money. Should not cost you to repair. Mine is durable and well made

  • I love this watch and i have it, but it is really bad quality. It damages extremely fast.

The crown broke off 2 times, and inside its a mess (black stuff, moisture...) while i do everything to avoid contact with water.

The glass has a crack now too since 2 weeks ............ i wonder if i should fix the crown AGAIN..(did cost me 20 euro) and i wonder if the glass CAN be removed and fixed again (all not too easy as i live in Thailand.......)

  • I bought the all black 36 diamond one, but I decided I needed another as to not over use and damage that one. I looked for weeks for another watch to alternate with this one and in the end I went for the silver white faced version of the 8700. I simply couldn't find another that's as handsome and value for money. These watches are excellent! Seiko came close, but I had to stick with Citizen.

  • Great review, I just purchased this watch, and you explained to me how to see the current month. I couldn't find it in the manual.

  • Hey awesome review, Just wondering how you got a hold of the authentic leather strap? I purchased the brown dial with stainless steel exterior and I can't seem to find the matching leather straps only the one with gold accent deployment clasp. Please point me in the right direction, thanks
