@seminoleboy96 well im saying he might have fought yahiko's body and the paths of pain before and we didnt know. but what i meant by my comment before was that he could tell that the yahiko path of pain was just a re-animated corpse, and when nagato and itachi were revived from the edo tensei, itachi recognized that it was nagato right away, so that means he knew they were dead bodies and that nagato was the controller. he probably knew the most about him after tobi or zetsu

@seminoleboy96 clearly he knew they were visually linked, if he knew that about him before the fight, who knows what he could have known. they could have actually fought before, we dont know. so i think its safe to assume that he knows about a lot of pains abilities. i mean if he could recognize that yahiko was an animated dead body and nagato was the real one, then that alone proves that he knew a lot about pain. he might not have known ALL of the abilities but he definately knew some of them

@deidara0430 he only fought 1 pain before going into sage mode so yea. and I don't think Itachi knew all there different abilities until when they fought

@seminoleboy96 yea but again if he knew that he was visually linked.. he probably knew that from pre-existing knowledge, meaning that he probably knew some of his powers, i mean itachi did know about the sage of six paths and the rinnegen, so he probably actually knew a lot. and another thing i want to address is that it tooks jiraiya MUCH longer than a few minutes, it tooks a few minutes after he went into sage mode, but before that it was like over 10-15 minutes in all

@deidara0430 that was stupid on Nagato's part he should have just taken there souls with his hands but i guess he didn't want to lose their souls. Anyway yea he atleast knew they were visually linked but thats not much and jiraiya knew that in only a couple of minutes fighting him

@seminoleboy96 that also proves that he could be fighting a genjutsu version of itachi the entire time while the real itachi is behind him stabbing him.

and in the episode when nagato is draining out naruto and killer bee's souls it has to show that giant mouth thing with the big tonge remember? that thing has the rinnegen and itachi threw kunai at the eyes and then grabbed naruto and bee without nagato being able to see it with his other eyes. which proves he knew they were visually linked
