The hotel bit with Beatrice and Benedict is HILARIOUS...the Bard himself would surely be in stiches!

And nice choice of a sonnet there, #116, for the theme of the play here...#116 dealing with the nature of love, if it's certain or not, if things can or should get in the way...like, perhaps, two veery smart but very proud people who are too proud to just come out and say "Let's give it a fling?"

speaking of which, nice little bit of trivia for ya. David Nicholls, the guy who worked on this version is the author of a book i just read, One Day, and it references that very same sonnet :) He's great, he has this other excellent book called Starter for Ten, inarguably the funniest book i've read in the past... several years :) recommend it!! There's a film based around it but it was "meh" at he very best, i think...

Claudio is not taking into consideration WHO this is coming from. And Don doesn't explain why she'd marry someone else when he's available. Why does Claudio even consider this for a second? I think it's because he doesn't know her well. Not as friends/lovers. Their romantic relationship was fast. Jeasously is it own maddness. Why does he question Hero over a man who hasn't a friend in the world? This Don is the most viscious of them I've seen. He's seems more like a phycopath than mean.
