The suspension bridge along the Europaweg between Grachen and Zermatt sits at an altitude of 2200 meters and, with a length of 230 meters, is one of the longest suspension bridges in Switzerland. Construction was completed at the end of June 2010, and the bridge officially opened on July 4,2010. It cost around 350,000 Swiss Francs.

We crossed the bridge on August 8, 2010, on the last of our thirteen-day trek along the Haute Route, from Chamonix to Zermatt. It gave us the shivers.
