Fujifilm Finepix JX400 16MP Photo Quality Test

DISCLAIMER: THIS CAMERA IS TERRIBLE.

A quick photo test of my new Fujifilm Finepix JX 400 point and shoot camera, with no editing at all. I got this for $99 at Costco (USA, not Canada), which I believe is $70 off the original price. I had shot a stop motion unboxing for the camera, but the camera I was using to shoot the unboxing (my iPhone 3G camera) was really bad, so I decided against that. As well, I failed at making it. Just so you know, the quality of the images (even when viewed in 1080p) are better on my computer than on YouTube, I don't know why. Anyways, the camera:

- Takes stills at 16MP
- Records 720p HD Video at 30 FPS
- 5x digital zoom
- ISO 1600
- Fujinon "5x Wide f=5-25 mm 1:2.6-6.2" lense
- Is only 1.67 cm thin (thinnest point)
I will probably have a tech related video up either today or tomorrow shot with this camera, look forward to that.

I bought one and have to say that the video quality is ok but the photo quality is the worse ive seen in a 99$ digital camera. It says 16 mp, but to me it looks like 5mp scaled up. Very bad focus, poor color quality.

@AikaDayCare I am not very satisfied with the camera myself. Video is...meh. Photos, I use my iPhone 4 instead, the focus is really bad and rarely works with the Fujifilm. Good thing it was only $99 and not a DSLR; I think I'm going to purchase a better advanced PAS (point and shoot) or a beginners DSLR soon, within the next six to eight months.

I got one of these for my daughter as a Christmas present. White balance is obviously fubar as everything under artificial light has a red cast. Any ideas what this might be before I take it back? Obviously an unreliable piece of shit with no quality control. Why didn't I buy a Canon!!!!!!!!!!

got one of these and the picture quality doesnt seem as good as my 12 MP camera and the images have a yellow tint to them, any idea how to remove that tint?

@goodtube77 Hmm. I for sure think this is a good camera, especially for the price that I got it at ($99), but there are some small cons.
