My Russian Izhmash Dragunov Tigr with full SVD length 620mm barrel as obtainable from the factory and available here in New Zealand.

Part 2: Rotating bolt system and optics

Best to view in high quality if you possibly can.

Clarification on scope model name. The correct name is "POSP 8x42D" rather than "PSO". I purchased the scope under the PSO label and assumed it was correct.

  • how is the posp working? im going to request a license for this rifle in next april and i have started to think which would be better to start with posp or just buy a rail and put my old rifle scope on it?

  • @Lapinmiez A piece of glass in the eyepiece shook loose in the POSP after 700 odd rounds. I opened the scope up myself and fixed it, but felt I couldn't really trust if fully again.

One thing I've found with those BP-02 rails - unscrew all the screws and put loctite everywhere. The screws need it.

Currently I've got a Bushnell Elite 3200 mil/mil scope mounted. Clarity isn't the best and I'd rather have slightly less magnification so will probably replace it at some point.

  • @grannman thanks :) and one question more does regular svd magazines fit tigr with little working on them because i find svd mags 1/4 price of tigr mags?

  • @Lapinmiez they are the same mags just different capacity. All parts are interchangeable between both rifles. Both rifles are Dragunovs.

  • @grannman some of the best camera work with a scope I have ever seen. Not to mention you have a great rifle.

  • @ClimbingArkansas thanks, I can tell you it wasn't easy filming through that scope. Quite a few retakes!
