Yes. Winnipeg's summers are similar to most of the Midwest and due to it's location almost smack dab in the middle of North America, it's summers can be very hot indeed. In fact, the record high for Winnipeg is 108 Degrees Fahrenheit which was recorded on July 11, 1936 during the infamous Dust Bowl Heatwave of that year which saw records being set all over the Plains, many of which still stand as of this writing. It reached 121 in Steele, ND around that same time too! :O
