  • Circa 1947-48 - Recorded by KTRB, a Modesto radio station, where they had a daily half hour radio program . . Many songs were recorded to be play on their half hour when they were out of town . . This was BEFORE they had a 4STAR RECORDS contract . . . Their sister, Alta, and I rescued many like transcription discs and ARHOOLIE RECORDS put out several CD's with their music - - Glenn E. Mueller

  • @fr33k3r This is Hillbilly not.. rockabilly

  • @fr33k3r — Yeah, you can definitely hear that this Hillbilly Boogie style was the immediate predecessor of rockabilly. It's amazing how interrelated jazz boogie woogie, blues, old time country, and rock styles are.
