This is a very good lesson. I am all for new guitarists learning Hendrix and any of the other greats....but I'm not for people leaving rude comments b/c there are no tabs. Tablature has spawned a generation of guitar morons, that DO NOT know their instrument. If you can't watch what he's doing and find the riffs by ear...plus he even tells you it's a Major Pentatonic run at one point....then you have no business trying to learn Hendrix at this juncture. Go get some lessons!

to all the people complaining about not showing the notes... you want to see it in music notation? You would be clueless... Go find a tab somewhere else... And practice for a few years before you think you can play this just by knowing what frets to play... Go do some finger exercises... This is a good lesson with the slow motion.. everyones lessons should be more like this guys. thanks for the upload!

Yo dude, awesome lesson, and I almost got it. The thing I'm not quite getting yet is the very subtle timing, especially on that highest bend. Any tips on achieving that subtle sense of timing?

COOL! Thanks for paste this - you're spot on !

@Nothingtearsthebeast lol u fool

Nice lesson, best I have seen so far.....his guitar is tuned down a half step, so if you are going to play this in normal E tuning just move everything one fret higher on the fretboard.
-
1 or 2 spots in there i couldnt nail, until i came across this. thanx

mate that is perfect, so many dudes post shit that they make up themselves and it wastes time, this is a brilliant video although you need to go slightly slower when you are going slow? if that makes sense, just had a look at your Holy Wars solo.....just piss off ya god! ...cheers buddy

A terrific lesson. Thank you. I've found the tab for the song, but seeing you play it is a great addition.
-
GREAT job! You should do some open mics and post them online.

Fantastic, I love the slow motion, helps a lot! Thanks bro!

Right. My bad. I thought you meant the guitar's tuning.

@SlugLifeProphet Ironic because musically, Jimi Hendrix was illiterate to music.

@rkmusicnow . when i first heard jimi playing red house I thought he was the best shit that ever happened but after that i came to know about the older guys like BB king Muddy Waters Albert king and the older guys like howling wolf and so . and thats where jimi got all his licks from > what he did was electrify it to an extent that nobody could ever compare to only imitate cuz he had done it all . the only thing he didnt do was shredding i suppose but machine gun has some hints on that

0:55 starts the slowed down lesson

@Nothingtearsthebeast
With the guitar tuned to Eb as I am, the song is in Bb because the 7th position is no longer B, the pitch is down a half step to Bb. sorry if that was confusing.
