Robotic submarines removed the cap from the gushing well in the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday, beginning a period of at least two days when oil will flow freely into the sea. (July 10)
@EvilTruth666 Nature will restore itself in time and that area was already ruined by fertilizer runoff causing a massive dead zone. You also have to consider all the people that they have gotten a job by finding oil to fuel the engine of the economy. Sure BP ignored its own safety procedures and even disabled alarms and had a laughable safety plan, but is it not the governments fault for not policing BP better.
@ZalgoZalgo Okay, but look at all the people they have put out of a Job, all the wildlife they have killed off, the Coral Reef, look at everything that they have caused to happen because they let this stupid Oil Spill happen for 3 months.... they should have capped it from the get go. I say Fuck BP... they've ruined that area down there. Completely Ruined it!
It's been a long road but the well is capped, I hope we can let bygones be bygones and quietly absolve BP of any long-term responsibility for economic damages and serious health issues in communities affected by the spill
You also have to consider the amount of people that will be hurt by losing their job if BP is punished too hard. Not even mentioning all the people that have their pensions invested in BP.
@jobrien2001 Then he is going to do what bp says thats the way the world works.Nobody cares of the damages till they happen then its too late. The only way to stop a catastophy is to not let it happen.I hope they arent lieing about the pressure.I think the pressure is too high and thats their problem if they cap it tight the whole apperatus will launch out of the seabed. They need to keep it flowing and just suck up around it like they are now thats why they are making a better one its rediculous.
Every good and successful company has a contingency plan in case of a accident or a cease to their normal operations. I guess BP failed to look at any possibility of any accident happening
Thank you so much for sharing this video!
