I agree with you. I always try to talk to my grandma and granpams brothers and sisters that are 80's years old plus. Too learn about family history and how they survived the last great depression in the 1930's.

Sorry Daniel, but I don't agree with this comment that the Electoral College is set up to protect the minority ... I see it as protecting those in political power: a tool to make it easy to "concentrate" on those popular votes needed to retain power, and to usurp or undermine the popular vote, when necessary, to retain that power stranglehold.

IMHO the most IMPORTANT vote one can cast is that for Presidential PRIMARY. All else is a "fix."

PS I agree with you totally. I've been paying attention to this, too as far as the relationships. I think technology has not been our friend. The American Indians really knew how to do what you are talking about. I personally did not buy that digital conversion box for my tv and I don't plan to do so.
