Everybody
Tommy Roe
(Words and music by Tommy Roe)

-1963 # 3

Everybody, everybody,
everybody's, had a broken heart now.
Everybody, everybody,
everybody's had the blues.

Everybody, everybody,
everybody's, blue when they're lonesome.
Everybody, everybody,
everybody's had the blues.

One time or other everybody listen to me,
you lose somebody you love
But that's no reason for you to break down and cry

I said a hey, everybody, everybody,
everybody's, had a lonely moment.
Everybody, everybody,
everybody's had the blues.

One time or other everybody listen to me,
you lose somebody you love.
That's no reason for you to break down
and cry.

I said a hey, everybody, everybody,
Everybody's, had a lonely moment.
Everybody, everybody,
everybody's had the blues.

  • Thanks for putting this on. I was in elementary school at the time and remember it well!!!

  • @eoj2495 - you're very welcome!

  • Do any of you Tommy Roe fans recall a b-side called "Moonwalkin'"?

  • @Mraodom1966 - the song is actually titled "Moon Talk". I'm thinking of posting it onto youtube!

  • This is probably one of his best. Better on an old hifi though.

  • @1BlubeTube- if you are on Facebook- I have a "Fans of Tommy Roe" page there that I just started. I see that you like Tommy Roe so check it out! Ron

  • If you mean because of Kennedy's assassination, yes, that made it a bad year overall. But musically, 1963 was not nearly as bad as people claim it was.

  • What a great voice. Thank you for post.

  • THIS SONG SURELY ROCKS

  • Great guitar in this song. It was one of his first three hits released here in Australia; the other two were Come On, and Sheila, with many hits to follow. I was 13 at the time and it brings back great memories.....Thanks.

  • @rwells47 Thank you. Please post it and let me know when you do. I have not heard that song in over 35 years.

  • @Mraodom1966 Maybe, I wouldn't remember unless I heard it, my dad probably had it, with all the records he had.

  • @1BlubeTube It was actually a RCA Stereo HiFi with a 20 something inch Color TV in the middle. It also had Psychadelic-Lights that flashed over the speaker-grilles when the music played.
