  • if i said 10 yr w/d i probably meant 10 days...5 days physical 5 days mental...2nd substiting one drug for other makes no sense.

Finally I do not need a medical degree to use common sense. In this country we have a problem with all these qiuck fixes and the easy way out, aVOIDING things is not a heathy way to process things....acknowledgement and taking resposiblity is.

  • @ontariobuds

Yep, my opiate of choice actually!

First of all, if you are neither a recovering addict nor a medical professional working in the field, you've no basis to give medical advice like that, not to mention the fact that you are wrong.

No, opiate withdrawals last 10 years. Only the acute withdrawals last 3 days (though it's often more than that). Look up post-acute withdrawals.

Also, if you're on Suboxone and taking it correctly, all it does is make you feel normal by filling your opiate receptors WITHOUT getting high

  • ultram withdrawals are lots worse than hydrocodone or oxycodone....

  • Actually suboxone is NOT subutex.

Suboxone is a combination of subutex (buprenorphine) AND nalaxone.

Subutex is buprenorphine on its own.

Google it and you will see the difference.

Subuxone is not available in the UK

Subutex is. Subutex is used as a opiate substitute and then its apparantly alot easier to reduce the dosage until you cease to take anymore.

subuxone is used to treat the withdrawal symptoms

  • Pretty much substituting one bad drug for a drug with side effects that are literally 10 times worse.

Opiate withdraw last about 3 days, the worst of it anyway, Suboxone withdraw last 1 week, this is a terrible alternative and bad advice.

The best thing to do is probably just go through the withdraw and when you can stand it, exercise to subside the side effects.

  • percoset and percodan, and ocycontin are all oxycodone. Ultram is NOT an opiate and you haven't a fucking clue of what you are talking about...damnit will you shut-up!

  • Wouldn't morphine be one of the most common?
