Whispering ( Szczebiot ptaków) Fokstrot (Schönberger /Engel) - Ksylofon solo z tow. orkiestry (Xylophone solo acc. by Orchestra), Syrena-Electro, 1934 (Polish re-pressing)
NOTE: Unfortulately, neither the virtuose's nor the band's names are mentioned on the label. That lovely tune, which was composed in 1920 and made famous by Paul Whjiteman in mid-Twenties, will remain totally anonymous unless someone from YT listeners will recognize the artists?... This happy song, however, and the illustrations are my first shy hello I'm saying to the Spring - that is coming, is coming...
I know the version of Frank Sinatra and the Pied Pipers, but I had never listened this one...
This version is great. Thank you very much for share us these musical jewels!

This was just wonderful. The xylophone solo, the oompah of the tuba, the gradual build-up throught the song . . . just delightful!

Superb version of one of the songs I like most. As always Grzegorz your compositions are thrilling. Your shy salute to the spring is full of charm and nostalgia!
Thanks!

What a dynamic version! The song was revived and was popular in the early 60's in a more subdued version. Love the 20's illustrations with their fabulous fashion.

Exhilarating! Must get a driving coat like the one worn by one of those damsels. By the way, there's just a "whisper" of spring here beneath the melting snow.
