@jixmixfix well ... maybe modern metal. But the UK has (heh ... or HAD) the greatest metal bands in history.

Can't totally agree with Finland having the best. Sweden has the 3 kings of Melodic Death Metal, In Flames(old), At The Gates and Dark Tranquillity:P

Great list, bad song choice for Norther though, their newer albums can't be classified as Melodeath, should have posted something from Dreams of Endless War (best Metal album of the previous decade) or Mirror of Madness.
What's the name of the Ensiferum and Archeon songs btw?

all the really good metal comes from scandinavia mainly finland but norway is home to dimmu borgir which you just so happen to have forgot
