Join hundreds of UA students in Dr. Soren's Classics/Art 329 course for his November 4, 2010, lecture "America in the 1920s and 1930s."
Dr. Soren's classes are extremely popular with students. He is a Regents Professor in Classics and Classical Archaeology, a distinguished scholar, and directs the Orvieto International Institute for Classical Studies in Italy, the University's largest study abroad program.
As if that's not enough to account for those large enrollments, watch this lecture to see how entertaining he is. Having entered vaudeville in 1954 as a kiddie entertainer under the name of Little Howie Davis, Regents Professor Soren still enjoys mixing ad libs and old gags into his lectures. Great courses and great faculty - The University of Arizona has them!
