This for me as always been one of the greatest movie trailer ever made

Seeing this trailer again brought tears to my eyes. :') Somethin' magical about it to me. Must be, for starters, that it's such a KICK-ASS trailer, with such a good narration and montage of clips.. combined with that wonderful music, the whole nostalgia factor of having seen this many times when I was little watching TNG episodes on VHS, and just the fact that Star Trek has a special place in my heart. ^_~

@KirbbDogg I actually think Voyager was outstanding television. Enterprise started good, always had great potential and really shined once they attempted to salvage it with traditional Star Trek themes in the fourth season. DS9 always seemed a bit too sit-com/soap opera-esque for my tastes.

My God...this is by far the best trailer for the franchise. Flawless.

I agree. Once Gene dided that's when Star trek went down hill with Veorger and Enterprese. DS9 was good. I think if the last next gen movie had this kind of teser trailer. That showed montage of the nest gen TV show and there moive's. Nemase might have done a litte better.

God bless Gene Roddenberry.... a man who has made all the wildest thoughts seem so real...
-
This film exemplifies *exactly* what Gene Roddenberry had in mind with Star Trek ... a point not lost on the young Americans and Soviets/Russians who saw it in 1991.
-
I love how the clip for The Motion Picture is right next to the one for The Changeling. Inspired bit of editing there.
-
@TheBigPicProductions They did not live up to the standards, but I respect your right to an opinion.

@vccstudents No way, TMP and V are awesome.
As a Card-Carrying, Flag-waving **PROUD** Trekker..I am *not* ashamed to admit that I got misty-eyed at...not only *this* trailer in cinema (And *still* do!)...but at the final 'sign-off' when the signatures of all the gang flashed onscreen at the ending of this *FINE* film!
As an aside, I am *not* pasty, pimply, overweight, nor bespectacled, in case ya care..LOL!
Live Long and Prosper, m8's..

This is easily the best trailer for a Star Trek movie.
It was included on some of the earliest Star Trek: TNG VHS releases - including, I believe, the original VHS release of "Encounter at Farpoint."
