Flying the sleek Zenith CH 650 along the Missouri River (by the small city of New Haven) on our recent trip back from Florida.
Piloted by owner Heintz, this is a low-wing CH650-B model kit plane from Zenith Aircraft Company equipped with the UL4350is engine from UL Power. On the panel are dual Dynon SkyView glass screen displays (a 10-inch and a 7-inch) - notice the synthetic vision and the GPS on the same screen.
The complete kit cost is under $20,000 (requiring about 500 hours to put together).
Total cost with engine and avionics is less than $60,000. (brand new UL350iS firewall-forward powerplant package and dual Dynon SkyViews plus Comm and transponder)

  • other than the crappy music, it's a great video!

  • HA! He did so much zag-zagging he confused his GPS and had pull out a chart! JUST KIDDING! Looks like a lot of fun to fly and with fantastic visibility.
