Derek is supposed to move away, but he realizes that he will really miss Casey, who he has begun to have feelings for. He promises to change, become more responsible, and be nicer to Casey if he can stay. He does, but it's hard to forget the past.
Sorry about the voiceovers near the end--i wanted to try doing them, and i know i messed the end up a bit. But I actually really like this video.

No the kissing scene is from the show with her cousin vicky who is also casey she played her cousin in it and the aunt was played by the mom also i looked it up.
