Video engages consumers so well is because its personal. Its like the difference between reading about someone and meeting them in person. Text on your website is just reading about someone. Video is like meeting you in person. And we all know, people like to buy from people they know. Video helps your prospective customers feel like they know you personally.
Because of the personal nature of video, its particularly good at involving people emotionally. Recent consumer surveys show that, in most cases, 20% of the decision to make a purchase is logical and 80% is emotional.
The single biggest motivator in buying is not the facts, its emotional response. Humans buy when they feel comfortable, when they feel they can trust you, and when the process feels natural and reassuring. Video can tap into that and involve your prospective clients emotions, helping them feel good about buying from you.
