First of all, LOL at A&M's White Helmets!
Secondly, in case anybody is wondering, A&M ended up finishing 8-4 (6-2 in Southwest Conference play, finishing 3rd behind Arkansas and Texas), losing 47-28 to Southern Cal in the old Houston Bluebonnet Bowl, the second time in three years that the Trojans had blown out the Aggies in a bowl game.
Oh, and BTW, RIP Emory Bellard. The inventor of the wishbone offense and the coach of A&M in this game. He would leave for Miss. State after this season.

I was there. at one point in the 4th Qtr we all just spontaneously stood on our feet - I don't think that there had been a big play or anything, just in response to the total domination we were seeing - and roared.

Bo had police escorts at away games (especially in Columbus) but I guess the school figured he didn't need them for home games back then.

And don't you just love watching him run across the field afterward, with no police escort? Won't see that today.....

No names on the blue home jerseys and helmet awards. Classic.
