@thethikboy The "experts" claim his 9th is the be all and end all, but I agree with you. The 3rd, as well as his 6th are, to my mind, his best symphonies.
He really was a gift from heaven, wasn´t he?

Wonderful timing - endless subtlety in the dynamics - letting great musicians be great musicians in an orchestral sound to develop free and without hassle - with a grandeur only of a Harnoncourt.
And - of course these people play as if there's no tomorrow.... with a pair of eyes drilling and grilling like these..
