For the last year or so, I have watched the slow and steady movement by State medical people in Texas and by the State of Texas (DPS and others) to try to make pain medication that can significantly reduce folks' pain levels, inaccessible by the public. Now, it has gone beyond the State of Texas and is being played out on the national stage. Now, I never dreamed that they would start trying to fool with interfering with your Over the Counter access, but yes, they are doing that. The current target du jour is "acetaminophen", the use of which, they claim, is the main reason for liver damage. I believed however, that their real target was Vicodin, the opiate "narcotic". Well, my suspicions were validated when, today, I read that this group that is trying to decrease dosages of acetaminophen available to the public, has advocated the outright and total ban of Vicodin (Hydrocodone HCl) and percoset.
There are many Americans suffering chronic or acute pain every day, that depend on Vicodin to help them to function enough to get through the day, and the medication that helps them to continue to function, is Vicodin.
When they (Medical groups and the Government) start to interfere with folks who are having serious pain levels, being able to get relief from said pain, I honestly believe that we will start to see people in real pain, who are kept from getting the pain relievers they need, becoming violent and that overall violence levels in this society will increase.
