If you really took time to study the instruments and safety requirements that these fisherman are REQUIRED to have & know before they leave port, then you wouldn't post such a callous statement.
To put CAPTAIN in quotation marks is totally derogatory. Anyone who steers, drives or engages in piloting a fishing vessel is a CAPTAIN. Military duty does not make one a captain.
Maybe you should get out of your parent's house before passing judgement on a real man.

The big problem with these fishermen is that they do NOT equip their ships with modern communications equipment.
If that ship had been carrying an Inmarsat-C terminal, the "Captain" could have pressed a button and sent a Distress Alert directly to the USCG RCC.
He would NOT have had to die sending an outdated, manual Distress call. Why would someone sail up there without proper equipment?
We'll never know why, but it cost this man his life.
