This video demonstrates how to convert between scientific notation and standard form using the Mode menu on a T-84 Plus calculator. Note: If the power of 10 is less than -3, the calculator will not change it to standard form, it will leave it in scientific notation (Example: 3.8 x 10^-4 = 3.8E-4 while 3.8 x 10^-3 = 0.0038). It will also stay in scientific if the power of 10 is greater than 9.

  • @vallieluvs2sing Read my video description for an explanation of why it is doing that. If the number has a power of ten less -3 or more than 9, the calculator can't express it in standard form.

  • my calculator is on normal and it still shows scientific notation!! I need the actual numbers!
