Just a short clip to show you what it's like to be next to the track when these cars go by at full speed. This is during a practice round prior to the race. Notice the vapor trails off the back foils since it was so humid.

  • supermodifieds get that vapor trail sometimes off there wings, i've seen it look different than what comes off the indy car guys, its more of a long thin trail awesome to see coming off a race car live in person...

  • they get up to 190 on this track because of design and you can actually see whats going on. They also get 3 wide alot, just watch a video.

  • I hope! :D

  • They were racing a very high downforce package, so the cars were going flat out during the race...in a 7/8 mile track!

That's why Andretti was not able to attempt a move for the lead at the end of the race.

  • No. :) Racing at Iowa with indycars like this is something more different, more special. :)

  • full speed? nope more life quarter speed these things are a blur at full speed
