Damage in Norman, Oklahoma in the wake of a severe thunderstorm that struck on the evening of June 14, 2011. High winds and large hail caused much of the damage, as well as a probable microburst in the hardest-hit part of northeast Norman (12th & Robinson, as seen in the video). This footage was shot by storm chaser Chris McBee, and is available for licensing. Check us out at CentralOKStorms.com, facebook.com/centralokstormchasers, and on Twitter @centralokstorms.

  • You captured some of the minor/major damage well. I've seen a few apt complex missing roofs completely as well as homes and businesses on the ESE side of Norman. The East side Walmart suffered quite a bit of roof damage and it removed the AC units and put them in the parking lot and broke the skylights out. I was in there last night...what a mess.
