Yes, the Mac hardware can of course run Windows as well. Computers tend to be fairly unconcerned about what programs they are asked to execute, and that includes the operating system. The main reason you can't get Mac OS up and running on most modern PCs is that Apple doesn't want us to - a position one can understand as it's not designed to support all the possible hardware configurations we collectively call "PCs".
