A Ninja Love Story: Yes

Hey everyone. It's my girlfriend's birthday and of course I had to do something else special for her this year. I made a love story about 2 ninjas, the orange being the female and the green one being the boy. It shows how the boy ninja is always there for his girlfriend no matter what happens. This is my first full animated video. I made the entire video out of pictures I drew in Photoshop. I put all the pictures on my IPod and recorded myself swiping through each picture to create the illusion of movement. It took 1,057 pictures to create this entire animation. I have to agree with Dewitt (steelcitypictures) I think it was a conceptual success but technically needs some polishing, there are some frames that don't actively push the story forward, I do think you're on to something and should most certainly keep at it.

It's very cute. It seems a bit rudimentary with the finger swipe, though. But it's still impressive. I bet your girlfriend loved it.

I am a big fan of stop motion animation. It’s a lovely idea and premise. I would of liked to see a closer shot of the phone, and more rapid movements between frames. Please do not let this discourage you. It is a perfect idea! Just in some way keep the frame rate more consistent and try to tripod the camera. Great idea!

Talk about a 'labor of love!' Loved the characterizations, and the story. I'm kind of blown away by the sheer amount of time that took to build frame by frame. Congrats!
