She wasn't murdered, she committed suicide. In her first attempt, she drank bleach. Why she did it, being one of the most beautiful woman in the world, is a mystery.

WoW !! I knew it..

@haweye79 Oops! I did not answer your question. Yes, Ike is a black man, and yes, they kept their marriage secret to protect Inger's career.
-
@haweye79, Inger's second husband was Ike Jones. A UCLA graduate, he worked for Nat Cole. They were married but separated at the time of her death.

Must have watched this 1000 times. Don't know why it works so well, but it was the inspiration for all the Inger videos I have posted. Maybe it is the connection between Inger, her husband and Nat. I love Inger, Nat, and "Embraceable You." I sure miss people like them - so talented and so gracious.

I heard she was secretly married to a black man but wouldn't talk about it for fear of losing her career....Does anyone know about this ?

The facts are there to support that Inger Stevens was murdered.(1)she was according to friends very excited about just signing on to star in a new tv series and very happy about dating Burt Reynolds. In comes a former spouse from long ago possibly a jealous person.(does this have oj written all over it or what?)
She may have been force fed alot of pills, knocked around and left to die. Read the book "A Farmer's Daughter" or investigate the case online.
Inger needs justice to prevail!

Great job with the tribute vid; nicely done and very respectful of her memory. Somewhat ironic in using Nat Cole's music: Ike Jones once worked for Mr. Cole as a producer. Thanks for posting this tribute!

Happy 75h Birthday, you lovely lady! We miss you. Still. (October 18, 2009)
This is my late Aunt Inger Stevens!! My new science fiction web series "20 Dollar" pays homage to her in the first episode (Life Is Priceless) from famous episode of The Hitch Hiker in TZ. She was my inspiration to become an actress and empower myself as a producer. She is much missed and will forever be in our hearts. Thank you for this beautiful video.

The tragedy of Ingar Stevens is the same as most performers. They never realize that happiness comes from within. That to rely on someone else for approval will keep you searching for something that lies within yourself. When you perceive that approval will not come you just simply check out in one way or another.
