also the mp40 has NO recoil due to the wheight. and it holds more bullets in the magazin.it is also more acuret, and shoots a bit slower. while the tompson shoots faster is less accurate, holds less amo in the military modle, and it has a pretty good kick.

umm ok... i like both guns but im talking the real ones. kk to start thereis 1 mager differnce. the mp40 is 9mm and tompson is .45 kk which is better the mp40 has a 32 magizine while the tompson holds 20but..... there is also long clips that hold 30, and u can get drums that hold 50. i personally love the mp40 and think its better but the tompson dose have a larger bullet

thompson is better because it holds more ammo and has a higher rate of fire, al though the rate of fire is slower than the mp40's, it is still very accurate o semi-auto. the only thing i don't like about it is the stock... WAY TO BIG

mp40 is better but it jams a lot more than the thompson. the thompson is just weak and completely useless if not used at close range and when i say close range i mean no further than 50 meters. then again the thompsons cheaper then the mp40 so its possible to raise bigger armies . the mp40 has better range but it has a lot of recoil but that is alright because it has a slow rate of fire so it evens it out. they are both alright but the ppsh-41 beats them both.
