Paul McCartney - Blackbird
Live Glastonbury Music Festival 2004

Lyrics:
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Black bird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
all your life
you were only waiting for this moment to be free

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,oh
You were only waiting for this moment to arise, oh
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

  • Paul had been performing for >40yrs. in 2004. I'm sure he learned how to block out the audiences' interference long ago.

  • He's amazing for being able to keep in time even with that crappy clapping.

  • WTF learn how to clap

  • God dammit Glastonbury, CLAP IN TIME

  • @BADtimmay

    This isn't a cover.

  • play FREEBIRD!!!!!

  • OLD PEOPLE SWAGG

  • @jessystage There's no explaining ignorance, or random mean-spirited snarkiness, we should show compassion and pity for these lost souls...NOT! lol :)

  • @dirtyxmexican funny comment and it might be the case here, but interestingly this can also happen because of the speed limit of sound. People at different distances hear the music at different times and it sounds a mess. If you ever sit high up at a stadium where the speakers are at opposite ends and the audience is clapping to a beat you can actually see a wave of clapping hands start at the end closest to the speakers and progress away. It's actually really neat once you notice it.
